How we handle your information

Karuna Connect is run by Karuna Care Services, a Colorado disability services agency with offices in Lafayette and Littleton. This page explains what information the platform collects, why we collect it, who sees it, and the choices you have. It covers everything at connect.karunacareservices.com.

What you tell us.The intake conversation asks about you, your home, your household, your work history, and the kind of partnership you are looking for. That includes your name, email, phone number, and home address, and near the end, your driver's license number for the license check you agree to.

Your account. If you create an account to save your progress, we receive your name and email address from the sign-in service you use.

Photos and recordings from your visit. During the in-home visit, and with your permission, Karuna staff take photos and may record the conversation so your profile reflects what you actually said.

How the site is used. We collect basic usage information, like which pages are visited and where people leave the intake, so we can make the experience better.

To get to know you. To prepare for your visit. To build your profile with you. To run the checks you agreed to in your submission. And to operate and improve the platform. That is the whole list.

We never sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we never will.

Families see your profile only after you approve it. Nothing about you is visible to families looking for support until you have read your profile and said yes. You see exactly what they will see, first.

Verification happens only as you agreed. When you submit, you agree that we may run a background check and a license check and reach out to your references and any agencies you have partnered with before. We share only what those checks require.

Services that run the platform. Karuna Connect is built on services that process data on our behalf: hosting and database infrastructure, sign-in, the AI service that guides the intake conversation, transcription of visit recordings, email delivery, calendar scheduling, product analytics, and error monitoring. Each receives only what its job requires.

If the law requires it. We comply with valid legal requests, and we tell you when we are allowed to.

The intake conversation is guided by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude). Your answers are sent to it to shape the conversation and, later, to help draft your profile. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. A real person at Karuna reads your submission and builds your profile with you; the AI drafts, people decide.

If you start the intake without an account and do not come back, we delete the unfinished conversation after 30 days of inactivity. Completed submissions and provider records are kept as part of Karuna's record of the working relationship. If you want something deleted, ask us, and unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it, we will.

You can ask what we have about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Your profile is never shown to families without your approval, and you can withdraw that approval at any time. Write to us at privacy@karunacareservices.com and a real person will handle it.

A cookie remembers your intake session for 30 days so you can leave and come back without losing your place. If you create an account, sign-in cookies keep you signed in. Analytics may set cookies to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies.

Karuna Connect does not hold medical or clinical information about the individuals and families Karuna serves. That information lives in other Karuna systems with their own safeguards.

The platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If our practices change, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
